Our story and commitment to our community starts with our accomplished owner, Dr. Brittany Wood. Born and raised right here in the Hampton Roads area, Dr. Wood has always called Coastal Virginia home, making her truly invested in the health and happiness of her neighbors.

A Dental Legacy Begins

Dr. Wood’s journey into dentistry began early, inspired by her mother, a longtime dental hygienist who instilled in her both a passion for oral health and a deep desire to help others. Watching her mother’s dedication to patient care sparked Dr. Wood’s own dream of becoming a dentist who could make a real difference in people’s lives.

Educational Excellence

Pursuing her aspirations with determination, Dr. Wood built an impressive educational foundation:

1. Old Dominion University (ODU): Bachelor of Science in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Business Administration
2. Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU): Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Premedical Graduate Health Sciences
3. VCU School of Dentistry: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)

This comprehensive education equipped her with both the scientific knowledge and business acumen needed to provide exceptional patient care while running a successful practice.

Professional Journey

After graduating with her D.D.S., Dr. Wood gained extensive experience as an associate dentist with LWSS, where she honed her clinical skills and developed her patient-centered approach to care. While she loved her work and patients, her real dream was always to build her very own practice—one that could provide the highest level of personalized care while bringing beautiful, healthy smiles to the Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake region.

True to her goal-oriented nature, Dr. Wood made that dream a reality when she proudly established Shoreline Cosmetic & Family Dentistry in 2023. Today, this practice is flourishing as it focuses on providing comprehensive cosmetic and family dentistry, offering everything from routine cleanings and preventive care to advanced cosmetic procedures and full oral reconstruction.

Dr. Wood’s warmth and genuine care extend far beyond her professional life. Family is at the heart of everything she does, and nothing brings her more joy than spending quality time with her daughter.
