Join Our Team at Shoreline Cosmetic & Family Dentistry

The best dental practices aren’t built on equipment alone — they’re built on people. The hygienist who remembers a patient’s name. The assistant who makes a nervous patient laugh before a procedure. The team member who stays five minutes late because it’s the right thing to do. That’s the kind of care that keeps patients coming back, and it’s the kind of team we’re building here.

At Shoreline Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, Dr. Brittany Wood has created a practice rooted in real relationships and genuine, patient-first care. A Virginia Beach native and VCU School of Dentistry graduate, Dr. Wood knows this community because she grew up in it. Our general and preventive family dentistry services serve families across Virginia Beach, and we’re always open to connecting with talented professionals who want to grow with us.

What Makes Shoreline Different

We’re a small practice, and we’re proud of it. Every patient who comes through our doors gets to know us, and we get to know them. There are no revolving doors here — just consistent, thoughtful care delivered by a team that genuinely cares about the people in their chairs.

That culture extends to how we treat our team members, too. At Shoreline, you’re not a number. You’re a valued part of a practice where your voice matters, where your skills are appreciated, and where the work you do each day has a real impact on real people. We offer a full range of services — from cosmetic dentistry and restorative care to comprehensive preventive treatments — which means our team members get to work across a broad and rewarding scope of dental care.

Who We’re Looking to Connect With

We may not always have an immediate opening, but we’re always looking ahead. If you’re a driven dental professional who shares our values, we want to hear from you now. The roles we most actively look to expand are dental hygienists and dental assistants, two positions central to the patient experience we’ve worked hard to create.

Here’s a general sense of what we look for in both roles:

  • Dental hygienists: Active RDH licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia, an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program, current CPR/BLS certification, and a genuine warmth with patients that goes beyond the clinical
  • Dental assistants: Formal dental assisting training or certification, Virginia Radiation Control Program (RCP) certification as applicable, and a team-first mindset that puts patient comfort at the center of every appointment

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of dental hygienists is projected to grow 7 percent from 2024 to 2034, faster than the average for all occupations. Demand for quality dental care is rising, and we want to be ready to welcome the right people as Shoreline grows.
